Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz has decided that, it will be spending $2.9 Billion by 2019 to develop, whole new generation of diesel engines. Already, a portion of money is invested on selective catalytic reduction systems, which are present on larger Mercedes cars. Daimler would use this investment on engine development and production capacities.
